The Way of Jesus: Worship Deeply. Grow Boldly. Live Sent.

The Way of Jesus: Worship Deeply. Grow Boldly. Live Sent.
This fall, Covenant Church is beginning a journey together—The Way of Jesus.
Jesus didn’t just invite people to believe; he invited them to follow. To walk in his way means more than occasional worship or good intentions. It means loving God fully, growing as disciples, and living as people sent into the world with the good news of Jesus Christ.
Our new sermon series, The Way of Jesus: Worship Deeply. Grow Boldly. Live Sent., explores what it means to live this out. Each week, we’ll open Scripture, hear Jesus’ call, and discover together how to walk in his way.
Sermon Schedule
September 7 – The Way of Jesus
Matthew 22:36–40 (The Great Commandment)
We begin with Jesus’ invitation to love God fully, grow as his disciples, and live sent into the world.
September 14 – Why Worship Matters
John 4:19–26 (The Woman at the Well)
Worship is more than ritual—it’s meeting the God who seeks us and knowing the One who truly knows us.
September 21 – How to Worship Deeply
Luke 7:36–50 (The Woman with the Alabaster Jar)
True worship flows from love and gratitude, becoming personal and sometimes costly.
September 28 – Why Growing in Faith Matters
John 15:1–8 (The Vine and the Branches)
We grow as disciples by abiding in Christ, bearing fruit that shows his life at work in us.
October 5 – How to Grow Boldly
Luke 6:46–49 (The Wise and Foolish Builders)
Bold growth comes through putting Jesus’ words into practice, building our lives on his foundation.
October 12 – Why Living Sent Matters
John 20:19–23 (Jesus Sends the Disciples)
As the Father sent Jesus, so we are sent—empowered by the Spirit to carry the gospel into the world.
October 19 – How to Live Sent
Luke 10:1–9 (Sending of the 72)
Jesus shows us how to go with purpose, share peace, and meet needs in his name.
October 26 – The Way Is Worth It
Luke 24:13–35 (The Road to Emmaus)
When we walk in the way of Jesus, he walks with us—opening our eyes and setting our hearts on fire.
Why This Series Matters
The way of Jesus is not just a set of beliefs—it’s a way of life. Together we’ll discover why worship is at the center, how growth takes courage, and why living sent brings meaning and mission to our everyday lives.
We hope you’ll join us on this life-changing journey.
