Holy Week at Covenant

Holy Week Service
Holy Week invites us into the most sacred journey of the Christian year. Together we remember the final days of Jesus’ earthly ministry, reflect on the meaning of the cross, and celebrate the victory of the resurrection. We hope you will make plans to join us as we walk through this meaningful week together.
Community Holy Week Services
Monday–Friday at Noon
LaGrange Christian Church
Each day during Holy Week, churches from across our community will gather for a brief midday worship service at LaGrange Christian Church. These services will feature the preaching of local pastors as we reflect on the last words of Christ from the cross.
Following each service, a light lunch will be provided as an opportunity for fellowship. Covenant Church will be providing the lunch on Monday.
Pastor William will also be participating in the series and will preach at the Friday service.
These gatherings are a meaningful expression of unity among the churches of our community as we focus together on the significance of the cross.
Maundy Thursday Service
Thursday, April 2 — 6:30 PM
Covenant Church
On Maundy Thursday we remember the night Jesus shared the Last Supper with His disciples. This special evening service will include meaningful music, the reading of Scripture, and the celebration of Holy Communion as we remember Christ’s command to love and serve one another.
It is always a moving and reflective service that helps prepare our hearts for the events of Good Friday.
Good Friday Service
Friday, April 3 — 6:30 PM
Covenant Church
Good Friday is the most solemn day of the Christian year. Through Scripture, music, and reflection, we will remember the suffering, death, and burial of Jesus Christ.
This sacred service invites us to pause and reflect on the depth of Christ’s sacrifice and the profound love revealed through the cross. As we remember the meaning of the cross and the grave, we prepare our hearts for the joy that is to come.
Easter Sunday Celebration
Sunday, April 5 - 10:00 AM
Covenant Church
On Easter morning we gather in joyful celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The sanctuary will be filled with the triumphant sound of the Hallelujah Chorus as we proclaim the victory of life over death.
During the service the Easter story will be read and celebrated, there will be a special moment for children, and an encouraging message of hope and new life for all.
Holy Week reminds us that the story of Jesus moves from the table, to the cross, to the empty tomb. We hope you will join us as we walk this sacred path together and celebrate the risen Christ.
