Worship & Music Ministry
Psalm 145:4
Music is at the heart of worship at Covenant. We believe God is glorified and His people are formed when we join our voices together in praise. That’s why our music ministry reflects our commitment to convergent worship—bringing the ancient, the traditional, and the modern into one unified experience.
On any given Sunday, you may hear the timeless beauty of a hymn, the strength of a historic creed, and the vibrancy of today’s most meaningful worship songs. Sometimes our choir leads in rich harmonies, other times our praise team lifts up contemporary worship, and often they join together. Each expression isn’t separate, but woven into a single act of worship that connects us to the church through the ages and draws us into God’s presence here and now.
Our goal is simple: that every generation, every voice, and every heart finds its place in worship—together.

Choir
Our Covenant Choir helps lead our Sunday morning worship with a warm blend of classic hymns and modern praise, supporting our convergent worship style. The choir rehearses on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm. If you love to sing and want to serve through music, we’d love to have you join us!

Praise Team
Our Praise Worship Team leads the congregation in passionate, Spirit-filled worship through contemporary praise songs and modern arrangements. With vocals, instruments, and a heart for worship, this team helps create an atmosphere where people can encounter God in a fresh way each Sunday. The team also gathers weekly for practice, preparation, and prayer.

Bell Choir
Our Bell Choir adds a unique and joyful sound to worship with their beautiful handbell music. They play occasionally during Sunday services, especially on high holidays, and also share their gift of music at local events and nursing homes. Their ministry brings both inspiration and delight, touching hearts inside and outside the church.

Children's Choir
Our Children’s Choir helps lead us in worship with energetic, joy-filled songs. They sing occasionally in Sunday services, present a special Christmas program, and sometimes join with the Covenant Choir. Rehearsal is each Sunday after worship at 11:15 am. New singers are always welcome!

Special Event
Throughout the year, Covenant Church hosts a variety of special music events that enrich our worship and community life. From lively services featuring mountain and gospel music to evenings of classical vocal and instrumental concerts, these events offer something for everyone to enjoy. Be sure to watch the events calendar for upcoming opportunities to experience these inspiring and uplifting gatherings. .
The Power of Music In Worship
Music has always been a central way God’s people worship and draw near to Him. Scripture tells us, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God” (Colossians 3:16, NRSV).
Through song, we give voice to our faith, unite as one body, and express what words alone cannot capture. Music lifts our hearts, reminds us of God’s truth, and prepares us to follow Him with joy and courage. Whether in a choir, praise team, bell choir, or simply lifting our voices together in the congregation, music is not just an art—it is a gift from God and a vital expression of the Christian life.
