Why Worship Matters
John 4:16–26
So often, we think of worship as something tied to a place—a church building, a style, a location. But in this message, we see how Jesus completely reframes the question. Speaking to the Samaritan woman at the well, He reveals that true worship is not about where we worship, but who we worship, how we worship, and why we worship.
We explore what it means to worship “in Spirit”—with the deepest part of our being tuned to God—and “in Truth”—rooted in who God is, revealed in Jesus, and marked by honesty and authenticity. Ultimately, God is not looking for polished performances; He is seeking people who bring their hearts to Him.
This message calls us to move beyond sacred places to a sacred posture—living lives daily centered on God’s presence, engaged in Scripture, prayer, obedience, and gathered worship with others.
