Luke 1:39-45

Dec 21, 2025    William Moore

In this Advent message, we turn to Luke 1 and the quiet but powerful meeting between Mary and Elizabeth. When Mary arrives, she doesn’t preach or explain—she simply comes bearing the presence of Christ. And that presence is recognized, celebrated, and spoken aloud.

This sermon explores the truth that while Mary bore Christ physically in a unique and unrepeatable way, believers today are called to bear the presence of Christ spiritually. Through faith, obedience, love, and presence, Christ continues to make Himself known in and through His people.

We are reminded that faith was never meant to be lived in isolation. We need others who bring us the presence of Christ—and we are called to be that presence for others. Advent invites us to consider both the honor and responsibility of carrying Christ into the world with care, compassion, and faithfulness.
