Luke 1:57-80

Dec 7, 2025    Mel Wilhelm

In this message, Pastor Mel guided us into the remarkable story of Zechariah and the birth of John the Baptist—an account filled with divine surprise and purposeful preparation. While serving in the temple, Zechariah receives an unexpected announcement that interrupts the familiar rhythm of his priestly duties. Yet in this interruption, Pastor Mel reminded us, God was quietly shaping the future.

Through Luke 1:57–80, we saw how the Lord often uses unforeseen moments, seasons, and detours to prepare His people for what comes next. Just as Zechariah’s silence became a season of deep formation, we too can learn to trust God in the unexpected—believing that His interruptions are not obstacles but invitations.

As followers of Christ, we are called to lean into these surprising moments with faith, allowing the Holy Spirit to prepare our hearts for the work God is already unfolding ahead of us.
